The Brain Manipulations
This ongoing series includes Emond’s personal medical images of her brain. These images of just a few of many different tests that she went through. This particular series focuses on the confusion, pain, scars and desperation to find a solution and heal while on the neurosurgery path.
Each piece includes torn medical imaging printed on copy paper mounted on an 8”x8" canvas with charcoal pencil, white ink and modeling paste all to portray a cacophony of thoughts, scarring, digging and frustration at finding nothing.
